Location: Conveniently located near Exit 7 of Shin-Osaka station. There is also a 7-11 and Family Mart nearby. The challenge is only knowing how to get there the first time but after that, everything has been a breeze. Staff: Very helpful and accommodating, no problems communicating in English. Room: I'm a solo traveler and booked a single room. It is quite small but I did travel alone so it's fine. The room is clean as well as the bathroom (hot water available, yey!) Housekeeping is only available for those who've booked more than 7 days but you can leave your garbage outside everyday and they will pick it up for you. I didn't try the buffet so I couldn't comment on it. There is a microwave at the lobby which was very convenient =P

The hotel is a short walk from Shin-Osaka Station and the Midosuji Line got me pretty much everywhere I needed to be (if not directly then via transfer). Room was small, but this was expected and not a problem. Clean and comfortable, but note that they don’t clean the room daily if you are staying for a longer period. You can, however, request fresh towels and leave your rubbish in the hallway for staff to collect. There are three convenience stores nearby, as well as a Komeda’s Coffee. The hotel does have a coin laundry, but if it is full/being used, there is a laundromat literally around the corner too.

The hotel location is ideally located near the Shin-Osaka station, which is very practical when you want to go to the city center such as Umeda or Namba or if you want to go to other cities (Nara, Kyoto, Kobe) The room was quite small but it showed on the pictures but it was very comfortable and convenient with a nice bath, the refrigerator was quite small though so do not go on groceries shopping. I really liked the fact that I could manage the lights directly from the bed (via a small panel).

Jaded

Matress was firm but okay. Pillow was hard but I was given a soft one the next day, when I requested it. Many hotels now automatically have a choice for foreigners, soft or hard pillow. There was a very high step up from the bedroom floor to the bathroom. This was dangerous for a senior aged person, or anyone with poor balance. Everything was clean. It was not an easy walk from the station, to the hotel, especially when pulling your luggage in light rain.

It was a perfect location for us! I wasn't sure about staying in the middle of Osaka, it felt a bit scary... Also, we arrived earlier, but our room was ready, so we could check in! This area was very quiet and convenient if you're taking the Shinkansen to reach Osaka. There are convenience stores and a Komeda coffee shop nearby, and if you walk about 30 minutes, you can reach the Yodo River. It made for a nice morning walk.
